Our Mission
TrackPKD is dedicated to advancing ADPKD research and patient care through accessible, evidence-based tools that empower clinicians and researchers to better understand disease progression.
Our Journey
TrackPKD emerged from close collaboration between radiologists and nephrologists addressing a critical need in ADPKD care. As a chronic progressive disease, predicting ADPKD trajectory is essential for optimal patient management.
With kidney volume from abdominal MRI and CT established as a widely accepted biomarker, we developed a specialized tool that calculates growth rates using two-parameter least squares fitting across multiple imaging timepoints—capturing the full picture of disease progression rather than isolated snapshots.
To make these powerful analytics accessible beyond academic centers, we built trackpkd.com as a free, browser-based platform. We continue to refine the tool based on feedback from patients, clinicians, and researchers worldwide.
Impact & Use Cases
TrackPKD enables two critical capabilities:
- Demonstrating treatment effects through longitudinal tracking of interventions.
- Predicting disease progression trajectories to inform management strategies and improve patient quality of life.
Who Benefits
Patients gain insight into their disease progression and treatment responses through clear visualizations and validated classifications.
Researchers at academic institutions and pharmaceutical companies can rigorously evaluate treatment efficacy and intervention outcomes with quantitative, reproducible metrics.
Clinicians can make more informed management decisions by visualizing trends, predicting trajectories, and personalizing care plans based on Mayo classification and growth rate data.
What's Next
We're continuously working to improve TrackPKD and expand its capabilities:
Cyst-Based Tracking
Multi-Patient Dashboard
Advanced Analytics
Integration with Imaging Platforms
Data Privacy & Security
All patient data is stored locally in your browser. No data is transmitted to external servers. You maintain complete control over your data through import/export functionality.
